I have a daily Bible app on my phone, and today’s verse is Romans 6:23 which reads:
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.Romans 6:23
I read this scripture, and I was just pondering over it some and the Holy Spirit helped me to see something.
With all the accounts that have happened in the Bible tied in tandem with our own tangible history and current lives that we live, it seems that having little to no faith is a strong, reoccurring theme across the Bible and even in our world today.
The fact that God’s main requirement (ultimately) is for us to believe in Him just goes to show that simply believing in God would prove to be the hardest thing for mankind.
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.Romans 10: 9,10
You would think that such a simple thing would be easy, but somehow it’s not. God gets mocked, shunned, gas lit, degraded, and so many other things.
With all the miracles that Jesus has ever performed, He always based it around whether the recipient truly believed or not.
Faith is very important, obviously.
There are just some things that God won’t allow us to prove with science, because He wants us to believe instead.
Being able to prove He is doesn’t move His heart the way that simply believing He is does.
I dunno. I was just thinking lol.
Love you. Mean it!
