I Planted More Loquats…

I kinda had to honestly lol.

If you remember from this post, I actually had 5 additional loquat seeds that I was so called trying to save but see… the thing about loquat seeds (I guess) is that they can’t dry out or I believe they will be unusable.

Maybe, I don’t know for sure.

So with that in mind, I kept them in the moist paper towel and ziploc bag they came in. I don’t know why it didn’t cross my mind that they would germinate, but they did!

And very well too!

One already had a very strong, sturdy root and the others still had thin white roots that were sprouting nonetheless.

Aside from the first one, the other 4 all had their roots growing INTO the paper towel, so with a lot of rewetting the paper towel and some tedious cutting with scissors, I broke most of them free and just planted them with their paper towel roots…

One kinda got damaged. It was while I was opening the napkin at first, I ended up accidentally snapping it’s root off. 😢

I’m sorry little guy… 🥺

I still planted it yesterday anyway along with the others. We don’t know what Ahayah can do right? Only time will tell at this point…

But yeah, I used my last 5 biodegradable cups, planting root down in more Burpee organic seedling soil. Watered them and set them in the windowsill.

Since I got a chance to see the roots of these, I’ve marked the strongest root thus far with one strip of aluminum foil and the one with a broken root with 2 strips.

The remaining 3 were all in the middle. 🙂

So that’s it!

Now I officially have 10 loquat seedlings! Lol I’ll probably start to see some growth coming soon. Yaaaaay!

Love you. Mean it!
